Are Achiva Products okay for diabetics?

Chia has the potential to regulate blood sugar spikes because it slows digestion and is a Low Glycemic Index food.  We know that sugar content is important for everyone trying to live a healthy lifestyle, so we treat processed sugars like krypotonite!  All of our recipes are low in sugar because we use natural sweeterners like fruit juice, and we have worked hard to unite chia seed with other Low GI super foods to make Achiva super awesome for everyone!  As an added bonus, because you won’t get the sugar spike like with other energy products, your work out will pay off more in the weightloss department!

For example, we use coconut water to give a boost of useable electrolyte; we use chia seed as our main ingredient in all of our products because it is slow to digest, absorbs and holds water, slowly releasing it into your system, and helps repair muscle with high amounts of vegan protein; we use real fruit, spices, and agave to improve taste and give you a quick jolt of natural sugar and energy; and sometimes we add in a bit of caffeine using real tea or coffee for an extended energy release.  So, no matter how you choose use your super powers, we’ve got you covered!

Are Achiva Products okay for kids?

If you are open to giving your child a nutritious snack loaded with protein, fiber, omega-3 and natural electrolytes, that is low in sugar and high in yumminess, then by all means, throw them into the back seat on your way to the next swim meet, soccer practice, football game, or whenever their little bodies need a pick up! We use only natural ingredients and because we know you have enough to worry about, we exclude ingredients that are responsible for the 8 most common food allergies in kids.

How do I use the Super Powder?

Our Super Powder is named just that because it has so many different uses and its list of benefits is Super Hero big! Depending on how you like to rehydrate before, during and after exercise, we’ve got a plan for you!

1. Mix with water and chug.  This way is a little grainy, but if you’re okay with that, go for it!

2. Mix with water, wait 15 minutes for the chia to absorb the water making a gel, then drink it down just as you would with any other gel like product.

3. Add the Super Powder straight to your smoothie and mix.

4. Add Super Powder to a 1/2 cup of your favorite almond or coconut milk, refrigerate for 30 minutes for a tasty treat.

5. Mix with plain or vanilla greek yogurt for an added boost of protein post workout, or as a meal replacement.

6. Mix the Super Powder with oatmeal in the morning and start your day the Achiva way!
